Loving! Lonely Hearts AW/10 collection - 'What is your Damage?' 

Although summer collections are only just hitting stores, it’s already time for us to turn our attention to winter 2010.

As we walked into the beautiful Under the Wing showroom our attention was turned to the ultra stylish Nicole Glavan who was decked out the two of our favorite pieces from the new collection, not to mention, a pair of Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony buckle heels! 

Who is the lonely hearts girl for AW/10? She’s a child of the 90s, raised on the bread and butter of Nirvana’s grunge revolution and the tip of a cigarette in the school toilets at lunch time. She gives the finger to the Catholic nuns that take her classes and spits at the boys who tease her relentlessly, their cruelty borne of their rapt lusty desire for her enigmatic indifference. She’s mean, restless and hopelessly beautiful; you want to know her, but you fear the unknown.

Bored of authority and seeking life like a song, the Lonely Hearts woman is so powerfully inscrutable that I’ve become bound, incapacitated by my own longing to be just like her. She walks through this world without ever touching the ground; she’s not like the others nor would she ever want to be. She won’t ever let you in but for the ones that she does her laugh is like honey and her wit is like the sharpened edge of a knife. 

The only downfall is that we will have to wait until next season to get our hands on this incredible collection!
